101 Cult Movies You Must See Before You Die

Same as the 101 Horror Movies list but this pocket book was published by Barron’s. When perusing the book at the library I debated not making this list after seeing The Blues Brothers on the back cover. In what time and place on god’s green earth is The Blues Brothers a “cult movie” — a film adapted from a popular TV show bit that most American adults from a certain age would know, a movie so hugely successful it spawned a sequel and restaurant / concert venue chain. Baffling choice. In fact, as I create this list there are a few baffling selections. Just see below.

Can think of a dozen films that should’ve been included (and def some that should not be here) but it’s not my list. At least this list highlights other films that I have not yet seen or logged, cult movie or otherwise. For the record, I’ve logged 62 of 101 of these. (the most amusing unlogged title is THE METAL YEARS which I’ve probably seen two dozen times in my lifetime).

sleestakk has logged 63 out of 101 movies in 101 Cult Movies You Must See Before You Die. Back to Lists Overview.
