Overview
In Imperial Russia, Anna, the wife of the officer Karenin, goes to Moscow to visit her brother. On the way, she meets the charming cavalry officer Vronsky to whom she is immediately attracted. But in St. Petersburg’s high society, a relationship like this could destroy a woman’s reputation.

Viewing Notes
Wanted to see this once I heard the buzz… but having seen it I probably could have waited for home video. It’s very good but not really my thing. Joe Wright is a pretty darn good director but it was hard to be invested in these characters as each has faults. I realize that’s the point but if I don’t care about them why bother?
