Pretty goofy flick but I was inspired to finally view my DVD, which I’ve owned forever, b/c I saw so many tapes of this at the video store in San Jose. Fun watching Tony Leung and Ekin Cheng fighting their way around Tokyo. Hiroshi Abe is great too. Always nice to see Cecilia Cheung even in a bit role. Kelly Chen is gorgeous. So many good things here. Debated on tagging “Japan” since this is a HK produced film but half the dialogue is in Japanese (w/the cast). So it counts in my book. Enjoyed seeing many familiar places around Tokyo including the end sequence that begins at Harumi Pier, where I visited. So cool. Would love to get this on Blu.
