Viewing Notes

FF2011 Day Five: film #1 - Mildly amused by this zombie horror comedy out of Cuba, the first of its kind. It’s clear that there is attempt to mimic the humor of SotD despite director Alejandro Brugués insistence otherwise, which turned me off and having me exiting the Q&A before it was finished. Not a bad film but the overuse of CG blood and dumb humor made it fall flat. [note: my second viewing of this film at Fear Fest improved my valuation a little - by a half star.]
