Viewing Notes

Cruised down to The Portage for the weekly NW Chicago Film Society screening of The Walls of Jericho, a pristine 35mm print that hadn’t been screened since sometime around its original release. Print was damn near perfect. Great film too w/great performances by all the principles. Even though the main story is the political competition between the two men, the real story is two women finding their place in a man’s world. Would already consider this for best discoveries of 2013. Terrific little film.
