Epic long film about three lives during WW2. Brando is a nazi that questions his beliefs while Dean Martin is reluctant US soldier that abandons his asshole ways. Montgomery Clift just wants to belong among a group of anti-Semitic soldiers. Interesting triptych as these stories intertwine. Stellar performances including the always awesome Lee Van Cleef in a small role. (Yes, this is part of my Angel Eyes project)
Good flick to seek out if you have 3 hours. Worth the watch.
