Viewing Notes

Glad to make this screening as I knew nothing about this film. It’s an odd piece like a country club cousin to Spider Baby, different yet related and equally fucked up. The spider reference convinced me of that.

Warren Beatty is solid but in such a small part Gene Hackman steals a scene. Also nice seeing babyfaced Peter Fonda. Kim Hunter is also great. Yeah, good cast all around for a weird film. Didn’t go over so well w/that senior skewed audience however as there was barely any applause as with a typical NWCFS screening. Ha!
