Finally cracked open my DVD that I bought off ebay sometime 10+ years ago. Yeah, I’m that terrible. The picture begins in widescreen then jumps to full screen. Boo!
For the film itself… hmm, it’s very scatterbrained. Intentionally so for a very hyper violent modern exploitation flick. Love our leads by Cassel, Bellucci and Karyo. Not so enamored w/their supporting cast. But I give a half star bump for pushing some boundaries and being compelling throughout w/a terrific final sequence.
Oddly Karyo looks older in this film than in subsequent films I’ve seen him in. I also want to believe this is the movie that brought Cassel & Bellucci together as they have electric chemistry. Love Monica w/a big gun.
