Had to get my car checked out so I made plans to work out in those ‘burbs and hit this film at AMC Barrington, the only theater in Chicago screening this film! Stupid me discovered after the fact that I actually was sent a free pass to this. Doh!
Anyways, I was delighted to see this film that generated so much wild buzz from its Sundance screening. And now I know why. I was a little disappointed that so few were in my screening b/c I was hoping for some disgusted walk-outs but none happened. It’s that kind of film and I wouldn’t expect anything less from Lucky McKee. Brutal physically and psychologically. One of those films I that I wished we watched at a movie night.
I could go on and on about this film but I won’t. It’s just one that recommend everyone seeing. Such a tremendous effort from all involved. Uncomfortable but delightfully so.
