The extraordinary story of the planet’s most famous contemporary scientist, told in his own words and by those closest to him. Made with unique access to Hawking’s private life, this is an intimate and moving journey into Stephen’s world, both past and present.

My second screening at SXSW primarily b/c it was close to my location and at The Paramount so I stood a good chance of getting in despite the large audience assembled for this premiere.
Overall a decent biopic that will be a fine addition to PBS, which produced the film. Doesn’t dig deep past most of what we already know about this incredible man and his life as told by Hawking himself. But it is well crafted and entertaining. Had a lot of emotions for this incredible man and his will to persevere despite his failing health. For that I give this a slight bump. Just would’ve been nice to get more than the surface stuff. Still a worthy viewing. My fifth favorite of the seven films I saw at SXSW.
