Viewing Notes

So this is basically 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea… except in the air. Based on a Jules Verne story it makes sense. Looks like this film was also an influence on LXG, the movie. But it’s just as I expected, a Sunday afternoon matinee movie. I probably watched this as a kid b/c it’s totally the kind of movie I watched on Sundays after church. But unlike the production values of 20,000 Leagues, this AIP flick is lacking.

But I enjoy seeing a 40 year Bronson and Vincent Price chewing up the scenery. Henry Hull also does a good bit of it as well. Corny but enjoyable.
