Viewing Notes

Sweet little noir thriller and a pristine 35mm print thanks to Northwest Chicago Film Society. For a 81 minute runtime it lags in spots then speeds up then lags then speeds up. But the intensity continues to build until a hilarious (tragic) final scene.

Vince Edwards is a double for Mark Ruffalo. If this film wasn’t so rooted in its time I would have thought it was him. This film would make a nice double feature with Kiss Me Deadly. Cobalt-60!!
