Another subgenre I’m rather fond of… the action adventure comedy a la Jewel of the Nile. No exception here especially when you have Sam Jones as the lead. Plus Maud Adams?! Okay, this is far from a great example but enjoyable for me. I guess Raiders of the Lost Ark ushered in all these period adventure films throughout the 80s. So weird to identify those trends and how they persist today when a particular subgenre does well.
