For my Bronson project… had always thought I watched this back in the day (even had fragments in my mind of this film… but the wrong fragments). I am most positive that I have NOT seen this film until this viewing. I know I would have remembered b/c this film is OVER THE FUCKING TOP.
It’s like Winner took the original template for DW and said, “let’s make the same movie but will just dial everything up a few notches.” Holy shit. The rape is more violent. The killing is more violent. And so much more blood. This film would really pair nicely with DW3.
Also a bit shocked at how old Bronson appears in this film. It was only 60 at the time so it’s very strange to see that. The rape stuff is disturbing but once past that onto Bronson hunting down the gang, this is super entertaining.
