Viewing Notes

Always an odd sensation revisiting a film you haven’t seen in 20+ years. At least for me it is. It’s been at least that long since I’ve seen this. Maybe I’ve caught a clip or two over the years but never just sat down and watched this beginning to end since the mid to late 80s.

Lots of little details I forgot. Actors I forgot. The things that have always stood out have been the Nolte/Murphy combo. Some great lines. Having watched a few Walter Hill movies lately it’s nice to identify patterns in his style. In addition to using familiar actors such as Remar and David Patrick Kelly.

Still holds up well mostly due to the actors. Story is a tad more questionable but easy to overlook with the solid cast and comedy beats.
