Viewing Notes

One of Hollywood well-publicized disasters. Knew a little about that but it’s apparent while watching that this film has some problems. I don’t think it’s deserving of the 3.9 rating at IMDb because it is so damn fascinating. It is the accident from which you can’t look away but a very pretty accident.

Raquel Welch is stunning as the cross gender femme fatale. Mae West is just plain weird. Young Farrah Fawcett is a delight. John Huston is… well, John Huston. Rex Reed isn’t anything. Such an odd mix of sex comedy and old Hollywood clips. Hot mess indeed but one worth watching.

Oh worth noting this was Rated X at the time! Now it would be PG-13. Has a few F-bombs so maybe R due to that and content… oh oops, there is some casual nudity. Forgot about that. So this would be a R-rated film now.
