Overview
The prehistoric Croods family live in a particularly dangerous moment in time. Patriarch Grug, his mate Ugga, teenage daughter Eep, son Thunk, and feisty Gran gather food by day and huddle together in a cave at night. When a more evolved caveman named Guy arrives on the scene, Grug is distrustful, but it soon becomes apparent that Guy is correct about the impending destruction of their world.

Seriously impressed by this flick. Had heard it was pretty good and that’s no joke. Great animated action and comedy beats. Good voice acting esp. Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds. Nice adventure and emotional turns. Really beautiful animation without losing the animated look and feel over hyper realism. Thought I would be annoyed viewing this in a theater packed with children and families but it was the opposite. It was a joy to hear the kids laughing at the right moments. Fun film that I enjoyed more than 4 of the 5 films nominated for a Academy Award last year.
