Viewing Notes

Got another bonus from that DVD set of westerns I picked up at the library: a Lee Van Cleef film I haven’t seen! Too late for my Angel Eyes project but I’m always game for more LVC. Man, does he ever have some cold eyes of steel in this flick. I sometimes wonder if when he agreed to sign on to do a western he was allowed to wear the same attire. If the volume was turned down on these films you might think it was a series of films featuring the same character.

Van Cleef is badass sharpshooter yet again here displaying some sick moves. Giuliano Gemma is the up and comer here that somehow becomes an excellent gunfighter in a short period of time with not really any good explanation. But it works to propel the story and ultimate confrontation. Good flick with a great score and another I like a better presentation instead what appears to be a VHS transfer.
