Probably my most anticipated film of the festival. And it did not disappoint. Aharon and Navot have followed up their delightful sideways slasher RABIES with a yet another spin on the genre. Took me a little while to get completely on board with this film but by the end I was totally sold.
And that’s my only criticism is that it does take a while to get to the meat of the story. The film is a little long. Tightened up a bit this could be one the finest examples of this kind of good guy bad guy premise. That said, they did a remarkable job here with wicked comedy beats interlaced with cringe-inducing torture. Very happy with what they were able to do here. I really like these guys and what they bring to film.
