I’m gonna go on record and just say it; I like this movie. Now that I’ve seen it, I regret not viewing it in the theater when I had the chance. The WOM was so bad that I couldn’t justify the 2 hours even w/moviepass. That was a mistake b/c I’d love to see this on the big screen. I really was under the impression that this was a comedy farce but it’s not really that. Burton takes a honest stab at the material and makes an interesting dark comedy thriller. Whether intentional or not I get a Jean Rollin vibe (maybe because I’ve been marathoning several of his films lately). And everyone is pretty good here. Didn’t realize Eva Green was in this!
I’d definitely watch this again.
