Viewing Notes

Didn’t think I was gonna make this screening at The Portage for a Northwest Chicago Film Society special event (Monday). But it was a miracle that I walked just before the film started (thanks to longer than usual short film before it). So damn glad I was able to see this movie!! First I knew it wasn’t available on home video (which is a fucking shame) and second it really is a joyous and colorful film of song, dance and comedy. Reminded me a lot of Tati’s work, which isn’t surprising as a French New Wave flick. Terrific comedic timing and framing. I had an ear to ear grin the entire time. Hope this gets a proper release because it deserves it.
