Viewing Notes

Started this a while ago and never resumed… until now. Super dopey and convoluted but I give the filmmakers credit for attempting to stay true to the spirit of the manga. It’s like they cribbed from Riki-Oh for the live action adaptation. It’s no where close to the charm and brilliance of that movie but I appreciate the campiness here. And the practical FX are wonderful. Pretty wild cast that includes Clint Howard and Downtown Julie Brown and Chris Penn and Tracey Walter!

I honestly thought that was Aidan Quinn and not Costas Mandylor… weird. I’m probably the only person to give this a favorable rating but I totally watch this again.
