Viewing Notes

Seems to be a mystery as to whether Kôji Kawano really directed this film. If so it’s quite a departure from his other exploitative work. And much more dull. It’s another play on the “Grudge” legend but takes such a odd, confusing turn that places the heroines in an alternate world chased by a bondage phantom dude, which would be the most Kawano thing here. Not a good movie at all but certainly fascinating. Mitsuho Otani is cute and convincing as the lead.
