Viewing Notes

Close to wrapping up my Bronson project and had to buy this VHS to view this title as it’s not available via DVD or streaming (at least not from my searches). That’s unfortunate. This is a pretty damn good flick and the VHS I bought has a crummy PQ that looks like a fan-cam of a bad print then transferred to VHS. A film featuring these actors deserves a better release.

A wild car chase starts things off and sets events in motion that finds Jill Ireland in the center of it all, which was a pleasant surprise. Usually she’s relegated to second fiddle supporting role or an ornament. Here she’s the true catalyst that keeps Bronson going. Telly Savalas is good as the smarmy crooked business man.

Good flick that I want to view again esp. a better presentation and in widescreen.

NOTE: after adding this title I saw that Ron (sensoria) viewed this a couple years on DVD. So I looked again and found that Blue Underground re-released this on DVD. Boy, am I stupid. I could have ordered that instead of this shoddy VHS. Ah well. I’ll probably pick up that DVD b/c I enjoy this flick.
