I’m so happy for Justin Lin. I still remember when I saw Better Luck Tomorrow at CineArts and hoped he would continue on to do more things. Never did I imagine he’d reach this level of filmmaking in such a short period. I enjoyed this movie tremendously the first time I saw it in theater but I enjoyed it even more on this revisit. The moments that really made me smile ear to ear were the character moments, the interactions. When the group assembles then trains for the heist is heart of this movie for me. And enough isn’t said about how delightful Tego Calderon and Don Omar are in comedy relief. Definitely a film with great rewatch value.
