Referring to my top rated blindspot list I finally spun Gore Verbinski’s The Ring(2002), which I’ve had sitting on my shelf for 8 years. As a big fan of the original Japanese film Ringu I’ve never been all that interested in viewing this “remake”. Now having seen it I’m glad that enough changes were incorporated into the story to make it stand on its own. Great camera work and acting. Visually solid but still prefer the original.
