Next at the Islas double feature was his Night Fangs (2005) also directed by Islas, which is about, yes, vampires. More specifically it’s about two lesbian women who want to resurrect the spirit of Lady Bathory. Somehow this ritual turns a bunch of kids into cannibalistic vampires with the final climax set in the Aragon Ballroom! didn’t really make much sense as to exactly how the vampires turned and unturned but for a low budget flick it’s not terrible. Cool to see films shot in and around Chicago!
