Viewing Notes

Closing film of Noir City Chicago 5 and a fun one at that. Amnesia is the plot device but the story is elevated by the marvelous Burgess Meredith. I love mysteries like these where the accused searches for the truth behind the crime he ultimately did not commit. More like a prolonged Twilight Zone episode this movie doesn’t overstay its welcome wrapping up quite tidy by the end. Great to see in 35mm (another not available on DVD).
