Viewing Notes

Johnnie To can make even the most dry topics interesting. Here he takes on the social impact of a stock market crash and how different lives become intertwined. This really is three separate stories that intersect yet never really affect each other. His non-linear approach had me confused until I realized how the pieces were being set up. While I’m not crazy about this particular subject matter this is a solid movie that looks great with superb acting.
