Overview
On The Job is about the ambitions and passions of four men trying to make a living, for themselves and their families. It shows the parallels between two prison inmates who are contract killers, and the two agents of the law investigating the murders. As they get caught in a web of machination of corrupt government officials, their jobs lead them on a head-on collision against each other with their loved ones as collateral damage.

Missed this at Fantastic Fest 2013 so I was happy when I saw it was screening at a nearby AMC. Didn’t even know it was a Filipino film until after it started. Tragic tale of two hitmen and corrupt politicians mixed with straight arrow cops. It’s that fine drama where you find yourself rooting for both sides and yet no one here can win in the end. Really well made movie and a nice way to kick off Filipino American History Month!
