A doctor and his family receive an unexpected delivery from an old friend at their remote country home - a large wooden crate containing a gun, a female zombie and an instruction sheet telling them not to feed her meat. The family is concerned, of course, but she seems harmless enough. Perhaps she can help clean up outside?

Thirty-second and last movie of my FF2013 and fifth final movie of Day Seven, the midnight movie! Watched with Topher and was completely blown away by this slow burn modern zombie flick. It’s less zombie and more Housemaid. Like a darker, serious version of Fido. Such a fascinating movie and another reason why I come to Fantastic Fest.
Not sure when I’d be able to see this movie but I’m so glad I caught this at the fest and ended on such a high. I thought I recognized the zombie Sara and I was right; it’s Ayaka Komatsu, Sailor Venus from Sailor Moon!! She’s terrific in this with her low-key performance. Everything is in the looks as she quietly infiltrates this dysfunctional family.
Man, did this movie leave an impression. I need to see more movies by Sabu ASAP. My 10th favorite of the fest and would have been a top 5 in any previous year I’ve attended.
