Viewing Notes

Really wasn’t in the mood for a 2 hour slow burn horror drama but I really wanted to get this disc back to Netflix. Not surprised this is the work of Shunji Iwai. Very moody with a different spin on the modern vampire. A teacher seeks out young woman looking to kill themselves for his potential victims.

Interesting idea but the execution is off. Probably the best thing about this movie is great supporting cast including Rachael Leigh Cook and Katharine Isabelle. Adelaide Clemens also has a nice sequence. Can’t really recommend until you’re a vampire completist. Not a bad movie just prefer something a little tighter and less drawn out.
