Viewing Notes

Headed down to MBT after work to catch this, a restored DCP of Herzog’s take on the vampire classic. Have not seen it before so I figured this would be a great way to experience it. And it’s really quite excellent to view on the big screen. Didn’t expect this to be as slow as it is but Kinski as the Count is really the reason to view this movie. His moments, often awkward, are so amazing and restrained. Isabelle Adjani is stunning.
