To the amusement of their adult children and friends, long-divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin are forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son’s wedding after his ultra conservative Catholic biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend. With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future - and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process.

Did this movie get a theatrical release this year? Really? I didn’t even know this existed until I saw it on the shelf at my library. Probably a good thing because it’s kind of awful. It’s that weird rom-com that should be targeted to my parents yet is too sleazy for my parents. So I guess the target are boomers? I don’t know b/c of the mixed bag of actors from young to old and the weird overt sexual tone.
Amazing to bring all these (mostly) great actors together and produce this turd.
