Viewing Notes

Really, really thrilled to finally see this on the big screen!! I had asked Rusty at a previous event that my biggest wishlist films were Argento’s movies including this one. So I’d like to think I had a hand in this one getting programmed. Okay, maybe not but whatever. Anyways, this print looked great. Def a movie that looks great on the big screen in scope. To the entire screen filled with those lurid colors was amazing.

I will say that having seen this again (it’s been over 10 years since I last viewed) my opinion hasn’t changed. I like this movie a lot but it’s not in my top five Argento. I suppose that’s saying something considering how much people love this movie. Given the subject matter and setting I’m not sure why I don’t like it more than I do but something about it doesn’t click for me.

But if the opportunity to see it on the big screen presents itself again I won’t hesitate to go because this is still a delicious film to view in theater.
