A dark and strange comedy about a bank robber with bad luck. Bungling a bank robbery turns out to be a profitable mistake for Yamazaki, an amateur crook who ends up with 80 million yen after a string of improbable accidents. But having so much cash doesn’t make his life is any easier. In fact, it gets much more complicated when Yamazaki stabs a hairdresser by mistake and instantly becomes a hunted fugitive. He’s just one unlucky monkey but can he turn his luck around?

Looking for more SABU films to view I got this from Netflix but sadly was a broken DVD. Fortunately they had another which is a worry these days as I’m sure they aren’t replenishing their DVD stock for more obscure titles.
Anyways this is a dark comedy of errors from a bumbled bank heist to an accidental yakuza death in which two parties cross paths. This type of story has been told better but this one written and directed by SABU is still pretty good mainly for the level of talent involved. Lots of familiar faces here. I’d say this is worth checking out for that reason alone.
