Really love Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng as an onscreen couple (possibly one of my favorites). Plenty of chemistry between them and very handsome together (Sammi is already beautiful; it’s no wonder she’s a huge star in HK). Unfortunately this film relies too much on this combo rather than providing a well-conceived story. Seeing these two as affluent thieves isn’t very interesting.
The weird plot device to actually make the audience care is so manipulative and rather dumb. Had it not been for Lau/Cheng I’d give this a lower rating. Decent watch but not one of To’s better romantic comedies. Much prefer Needing You… over this movie.
