Overview

50 years after a nuclear war, the two superpowers handle territorial disputes in a different way. Each fields a giant robot to fight one-on-one battles in official matches, each piloted by a man inside, known as robot jockeys or jox. The contest for possession of Alaska will be fought by two of the best. The conscientious Achilles fights for the Americans. Opposing him is a Russian, Alexander.

Kick-off movie at B-Fest 2014!

Fun movie with a packed theater of rabid B-festers. Thought it would do a little better than previous openers but not really. Good film but not so good with the crowd. Not terrible but nothing like PUMAMAN or BREAKER BREAKER.

Interesting watching this now after PacRim. Really serves as a prequel for that film if we assume the giant robots were first created for global battle before the kaiju arrived. PacRim also cribs from this in how the robots are piloted.
