Had a blast with this Robin Hood adventure between two childhood friends that grow up to become notorious bandits. All the expected beats are here for a loose retelling of the Bengali struggle in the 70s. I coined “Bengali Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” to describe this movie.
Very strange to see such hatred for this movie from the Indian population due to how the film depicts this period. Clearly I cannot ever hope to understand the feelings surrounding this but just seems odd to direct so much anger for what is obviously a fable.
Also I’ve never been much of a Priyanka Chopra fan but I really like her in this. Plenty of machismo and sex appeal on display from the three leads. Some great dance sequences too.
