Overview
Five years have passed since Hiccup and Toothless united the dragons and Vikings of Berk. Now, they spend their time charting unmapped territories. During one of their adventures, the pair discover a secret cave that houses hundreds of wild dragons—and a mysterious dragon rider who turns out to be Hiccup’s mother, Valka. Hiccup and Toothless then find themselves at the center of a battle to protect Berk from a power-hungry warrior named Drago.

Viewing Notes
So much better than the first film. Okay maybe not hugely better but I enjoyed this a lot more. Much like the first movie it takes a little bit before I warmed up to it but then I was fully into it. I may try to see this in 3D because it really is a beautifully crafted animated feature. Also like how it touches on life, death and familia attachment (as well as “pet” attachment and behavior). Some interesting layers for a “kids” movie. In addition the movie treats those with physical impairments as normal and not a disability or obstacle.
