For my Childhood Movies Project. And I’m not even sure I saw this particular Pippi Longstocking movie. I know I viewed a couple in theater and this wasn’t released in the US until 1973. So it’s possible this was one of them. I’m pretty sure I saw Pippi in the South Seas. I think all the movies are similar so I’m viewing them all for the project.
I forgot that Pippi has super strength. The dubbing on this isn’t great but I’m not sure it would make the movie any better to hear the original Swedish and German audio. This is definitely a kids movie in that it’s not very interesting to watch as an adult (unlike many kids flicks today). Also didn’t realize that the movies were compilations of the television series.
Pippi looks like a child version of Shannon. I do like the house she lives in. I’d screen this for kids but I probably wouldn’t watch again.
