Overview

Anthropologist Dr. Brockton unearths a primitive troglodyte—an Ice Age “missing link”: half-caveman, half-ape—in a local cave. Through medical experimentation, she manages to communicate with him and domesticate him before he’s let loose by an irate land developer and goes on a rampage, terrorizing the local citizenry.

Viewing Notes

Weirdest thing about this movie is that they couldn’t match the skin tone of the face applications to Trog’s actual human skin color. So it’s even more noticeable. It’s as though they had some ape-like prosthetic around and used that. Essentially Trog looks like a a man with a very good mask. Could be worse I suppose. Story borrows heavily from Frankenstein’s monster.
