Not one of Gordon Liu’s better moments mostly due to a cheap, patchwork production. It’s clear they filmed out of sequence because in one scene Gordon will have his trademark bald head. In the next scene he has hair! Then back to bald again. So distracting. But still has a few shining moments of excellent form fighting making it worth the watch.
The commentary track is a joke. I was curious to hear it since this is not a good example of the genre so what did this expert have to say? Well, this person (forgot his name) treats the material poorly often doing a MST2K riff and even acknowledges that it’s hard not to do that for this movie. I’m sure this guy is an expert (he penned at least two books on the subject) but his commentary is more annoying and states the obvious rather than providing insight.
