Overview

Viewing Notes
Missed this at FF2011 but would’ve liked to have seen it there as I’m fond of Noboru Iguchi’s style of splatter horror and weird sense of humor. Even though this is listed as a comedy horror the material is treated seriously (no one in the film is jokey joke regarding any of the ridiculous plot points). It’s all on the viewer to find the humor in the absurdity unfolding. I guess I did a little. This is more total gross out horror and plays like a live action tentacle hentai. For that I give it some credit even though this is hardly a “good” movie.
Honestly this is the kind movie that a large portion of FF attendees typically hate at the festival. I suppose it could be labeled as juvenile horror i.e. fart jokes. Can’t say I’m crazy about them either but there is some amusement in seeing attractive gravure models with flatulence issues due to a parasite. Not a movie I’d recommend to anyone really but totally a thing I’d watch.
