Eloy de Palma is an exorcist pastor roaming the darkest corners of the country with his granddaughter Alba. Their mission is to help those possessed by The Evil One, an infection of the soul that is spreading fast. Each exorcism is tougher than the one before, and every battle reveals a piece of Alba’s forgotten past – an enigma that if unconcealed could change the world as we know it.

Second film on the 4th (last) day of Bruce Campbell’s Horror Film Fest. Upfront I have to admit to not being able to follow exactly the core through line of the film. I was distracted by people coming and going, peeking into the screening room casting a bright light into the blackened room each time. It was driving me nuts. So difficult time following… but I think I got the basics and this is a cool flick that looks amazing.
My only nitpick is the home video from 1997. Spoiler: video shot in 1997 would not look like that. Sorry. I shot home video on hi-8 that same year that did not look like that. And certainly not in widescreen. Kinda pulled me out of the movie. Everything else is cool but I need to revisit without all the distractions.
