Viewing Notes

Great to finally see this on the big screen! The digital restoration looks really good but not too good; was worried that the HD would remove some of the grime that makes this so good. However, heard good things esp. from Neil Calderone which goes a long way. He was right; movie looks great and doesn’t lose that dusty atmosphere.

It’s weird that I find this movie much more frightening now than I did back when we viewed this in the 80s. Really is a terrifying film that I’d place up there near The Exorcist for films that have truly given me the scares.
