Craig Alexander, a con-man “psychic” on the carnival circuit receives the opportunity to pilfer some legendary rubies in Kenya. His luck holds and he winds up the sole beneficiary of the ill-gotten wealth, which he parlays into an astrological broadcasting empire. There’s no easy way to explain this movie and yet it’s such a blast esp. with a packed audience. It’s a tragedy that it will likely never be officially released for home viewing given its soundtrack. Probably the movie I most want to share with others from this year’s festival.
