The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Although much blood is flowing and many limbs chopped off, there is a lot to laugh at in this bizarre horror comedy.

The 4th film for my 31 in 31 horror challenge for October. Wasn’t keen on viewing another zombie flick but since this was from the Netherlands I gave it a go. Sadly this is another riff on Shaun of the Dead. Attempts to nail many of the same beats including the main characters tie & shirt office attire and best buddy relationship. Yawn.
The only saving grace is Gigi Ravelli. She’s the real star of this and proof that a heroine doesn’t have to show skin yet still be beautiful. She’s quite excellent in an otherwise retread story. I’d love to see her character in a better film.
