Super fun Bollywood remake of Knight and Day that retains many of the same beats while offering plenty of updates to make this its own culturally different movie. Also embellishes the action for some unique sequences the damn hilarious sea escape. Have not seen anything like that. Of course the song and dance routines are an expected addition.
The first dance sequence is excellent and really shows off Hrithik Roshan’s mad dance skills. The end credits number is equally terrific in particular the nod to Michael Jackson. Still have a big mancrush on Roshan. He is a beautiful man and very charismatic. I often wonder if his polydactyly made him overcompensate to become the chiseled leading man he is now. Because holy shit is that man cut. I can even imagine what his diet and workout schedule must be like to maintain that physique.
Wasn’t initially about Katrina Kaif cast as the other lead but she gets better as the movie goes on. By the end I was sold on her character. Was a little surprised to see her and Roshan share such a big kiss on screen (typically taboo in Hindi cinema). However, they have pretty good chemistry which is probably why they been in a few films together.
