First film of Music Box of Horrors, the usual silent film that fills the opening slot with live organ accompaniment. Usually it’s a German impressionist flick so a nice treat to have this Swedish cautionary tale. Plays like the Christmas Carol for New Years Eve. I’m not terribly keen on the movie but I love the effects they used at the time. I enjoyed the original live score the most. Nice start to the event to get people warmed up.
